Not destiny but legacy

We spend so much time thinking about our destiny (aka.Heaven) that we forget that it should be about our legacy. If God would have just wanted our ultimate goal to be to get to Heaven why would he have even put us on earth? Why not just put us right in heaven? As Christian sometimes we are so worried about how we can get to Heaven, and what we need to do to get the best rewards, but I really don't think this is what God is calling us to do. When we talk about salvation the focus is always on you accept Jesus in your heart, and your good to go. Im going to say that is not the only factor we should be focused on, and maybe even the smallest factor. So many people have been hurt because of our view on salvation. We focus so much on who is getting to heaven, when really we are not the one that gets to decide that. What we are called to do, and what is most important is to use this life we have been given here on earth for his kingdom. We are here on earth to show his love through our actions first and then our words. Proclaiming with your words but than not showing with your actions means nothing. Salvation can not stop at proclaiming that Christ is in our heart, but we have to follow through with actions in our life. Showing his love and grace through everything we do is the most important thing to our life here on earth. We are called to go out to the world and show him.

18-20Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
