He turns sorrow into joy.

This post is form yesterday 9-16-2010 it just didnt post for some reason. The last week I have had some huge moments with God. I thought it would be great to be able to record those, and share some things that he is teaching me. This morning I was reading my bible and came across some wonderful verses in 2 Corinthians. The first being We have small trouble for awhile now, but they are helping us gain an eternal glory. That glory is much greater than the troubles. So set your eyes not on what we see but on what we can not see. What we see will last only a short time. But what we cannot see will fast forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18. The small troubles of the world to me seem so huge at the time, I forget who God is and what he is doing in my life. He has plans to prosper us not harm. I get so caught up in the sorrows of the world and forget that he uses all my pain for good. I also read 2 Corinthians 7:8-11, 15  I am no longer sorry that I sent that letter to you, though I was sorry for a time, for I know that it was painful to you for a little while. Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you but because the pain cause you to have remorse and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way. For God can use sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from sin and seek salvation. But sorrow without repentance is the kind that results in death. Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you! such earnestness, such concern to clear yourselves, such indigation, such alarm, such longing to see me, such zeal, and such readiness to punish the wrongdoer. Now he cares for you more than ever when he remembers the way you listened to him and welcomed him with such respect and deep concern. This made me see that all the trials we go through are always for God's good. We can not see the big picture like our heavenly father, he has already see what is ahead but we can not. He knows what is best for us and sometimes that means going through some pain. So praise him during sorrow and hard times because all things work together for his good. Sorrow for me caused me to trust him more, love him more, and follow him more. There is joy coming in the morning.
